Where it all began...

My first Sheltie was Dude... a Valentine's Day gift from my then-boyfriend-now-Hubby John.  Little did he know what he started!! Dude was Pride of Shalamar CD.  He was double Ch. Lencrest Rebel Rouser x Ch Elf Dale Viking grandson.  This is my hubby John before his beard, me before my white hair, both before kids...John is on Blaze who was a wild Mustang captured in the Owyhee Mountains and saddle broke by my father-in-law Clyde Beacham...A Long Time Ago...

Since then, I've raised an amazing family with my wonderful husband John.  Now that we are both retired, we are looking forward to camping, fishing, and enjoying this next chapter in life.  We live in Nampa, ID.  My son, Jason, lives in New Zealand with his beautiful wife Jo, and my darling granddaughter Hailey.  It's too far away for me, but we go visit whenever we can.  Right now, Hailey is obsessed with Star Wars, skiing, and surfing.  

My son and daughter-in-law also brought their shelties Lila and Riggins to New Zealand with them, and Lila, (aka NZ CH Shalamar Silver Lining) won BEST BITCH OF THE YEAR in 2013 after flying to her title.  At her very first shows  in New Zealand, she went WB/BW/BOB AND Group 1 and at her second show did almost exactly the same thing... WB/BW/BOB and one of the final 4 in group.  Lila 's parents are Am Ch Paray Perfecta Of Kismet x Villager's Moonlight Romance, and is full litter sister to BISS Am Ch Villager Simply Vera.  Her daughter, "Lola" - BBPISS/BBPIG/BPISS/BPIG/JISS/JIG Beaucourts Wildest Dreams, was BEST PUPPY OF THE YEAR for New Zealand in 2015!

 My daughter Lindsay lives nearby in Nampa, and I love having her close. She has Am/Can Ch. Braeleen's Last Tango (retired), "Tang", who is almost 12 (a repeat of "Johnny"), Shalamar's What Now My Love - "Katie" who is 15, and Shalamar's Love, American Style -"Elsa" who is almost 2. (Elsa is Am/Can Ch. Braeleen's let Freedom Ring ROM x Am GrCh BIS UKC Ch Barwood's Affair Of The Heart.)

​I've been breeding and showing shelties for over 45 years now.  I love this breed, and the countless dogs I've had over the years have given me more love and devotion than I could ever imagine.  None of it would be possible without the support from the many people that have been there for me throughout the years.  Susan Bentley mentored me and taught me type, head detail and how to breed the right dogs to establish my family of dogs and keep the look that I love consistently. Marie Miles and Lyn Leiniger...
