Lane lives with us here at Shalamar, and has produced several very consistent and beautiful litters so far, with temperaments to die for! We love this sweet and playful boy! We can't wait for him to follow in the footsteps of his family, and become the 5th generation of ROM's! Lane (and his littermates Quinn & Sunny) remarkably placed 1,2,3 at the 2011 ASSA National in the 6-9 puppy class. A historic event for the breed. At the same national, his sire "Johnny" won the Stud Dog class, and his dam, "Susie" won the Best Brood Bitch class. His grandpa, "Ticker" also won an Award of Merit. Lane was WD/BW and WD at both of the Pacific Northwest Shetland Sheepdog specialties and Emerald Empire specialty, under the respected judges of Linda Churchill, Glenda Henson, and Barbara Kenealy to finish. Then, on the last day under Yvonne Samuelson he was a move-up and took Select Dog over other champion males to get his first major towards his Grand Championship. This smart and focused young man went WD/BW/BOS over 3 specials for his third major to finish under Charlotte McGowan.
